​Our Story

 

My Parents

 

Zebbie Lomus Chancellor, Jr.

married Constance LeVerne Lyons

on December 12, 1957 in Warner

Robins, Georgia. They were married

by the late Rev. James Dorriety,

pastor of Central Baptist Church.

 

My father and mother met when they

were both working at Robins Air Force

Base.  They began their married life

living in the Zeigler Apartments--now 

demolished. After son Michael was born

in 1958, they moved to the Manor and

resided on Diggs Blvd. Son, Douglas, was 

born in 1963 and in 1966 the family

moved again to the southside of town off

Watson Road--now Russell Parkway. 

They bought a house in the Highland

Estates subdivision and are still in the same

house today. Last child and only girl, Elizabeth

was born there in 1968.
